Goldeye Lake is a popular family spot along the David Thompson Highway. In addition to the popular campground, the area includes 3 picnic sites by the lake.

The area is near Nordegg and offers a good option for those looking for an afternoon spot to relax, swim, rent a canoe from nearby Goldeye Centre, fish or enjoy a stroll along its shores.

The day use area consists of a parking lot, a boat launch, a dock and three picnic sites with firepits. Dry toilets are located nearby.
