This remote camping along the Blackstone River offers a taste of wilderness camping.

The area also offers a lot of undeveloped OHV trails nearby (OHVs are not allowed within the campground however).

    Ram Falls Campground

A remote campground with amazing views.

Above: The walk down to the Ram Falls viewpoint

Ram Falls is at the south end of what we usually think of as the Nordegg & Abraham Lake region. The 60 km of travel on the Forestry Trunk Road takes about an hour, making it a more remote option than most of the other campgrounds in the area.

The campground is located a short walk from the popular Ram Falls, with great views of the foothills and Canadian Rockies in the distance.

It makes for a great base for those looking to explore the south end of the region.
