STILL PLENTY OF BUBBLES TO BE FOUND

We are enjoying great late-season conditions.

The ice conditions are comparable to last week’s report, with still a fair amount of snow covering the lake but some great bubble patches to be found.

Most of the open water north of Windy Point has frozen over with the recent cold weather, but it is advised to steer clear of the area for the remainder of the winter due to potentially thin ice.

Where to Go

The Ice Bubbles Parking Lot and Abraham Slabs remain your best options for bubble viewing.

Anything north of Windy Point should be avoided due to weak ice and open water. At Belly, be extremely cautious where the creek comes in – it is best to skip the area unless you are familiar with it and have good knowledge of ice safety.

The bubbles are long gone from Preachers Point, but the cool ice features and surrounding landscape still make for a great trip out.
