Updates, adventure reports and other tales as we explore the region

There’s something about longer days and warm afternoons that just make your crave an ice pop. We’re ready for summer, longing for fresh fruits and dreaming about our next adventure.

We know you'd rather be skiing than walking through a busy parking lot in the morning. Mountain resorts are busy places on the weekend and even with the best of intentions an early start doesn't always happen.
Hiking Coliseum Mountain

It's the first week of fall and after a snowy end of summer we're back to some great hiking weather. It's a great time to head out for a hike, to enjoy the cooler days and take in the gorgeous colours of fall.

Snowboarding at Whitefish Montana

Thank you for travelling with us this past winter! We’ve just wrapped up a great season with lots of amazing skiing at Sunshine Village, Fernie Alpine Resort, Whitefish, Lake Louise, Kicking Horse, Castle Mountain and Norquay. Our last trip of the season was this past Monday for Sunshine Village’s closing day and 85th annual slush cup.
Castle Mountain Resort

Our second installment in the Powder Seeker Adventure Series took us to Castle Mountain Resort this past weekend. As we drove toward Castle we could see the clouds over the Rockies and as we started getting closer reports of 15+cm overnight started to come in. The Red Chair opened shortly after we arrived, treating us to 30+cm of fresh, untracked
Lake Louise Ski Area

No need to break records to have an amazing day of skiing or snowboarding. Fresh snow always helps, but nothing makes a day on the slopes more memorable than sharing it with friends and family!
