GREAT BUBBLES AND ICE FEATURES TO DISCOVER

The wind has been polishing the ice nicely in the last few days, revealing some great bubble patches.

The wind has been blowing off last week’s snow and polishing the ice nicely, revealing some great, clear bubble patches. There are some very interesting ice features and patterns to discover throughout the lake for those willing to explore. As in previous updates, watch for weak ice on the shoreline and some fairly wide cracks in places. The lake was about 50% snow-covered as of February 12 with more snow in the forecast in the next day or two.

Where to Go

The Ice Bubbles Parking Lot, Hoodoo Creek, Abraham Slabs and Cline Landing all have great bubble patches as well as interesting ice features to discover for those willing to put in a bit of effort.
